Silver Creek Community Church

"Blessed by God to Serve Others"

Who We Are

We are a God-glorifying, Spirit-led, Community of Faith, where people can come to Know the Lord, Grow in the Lord, and Serve the Lord! A place where lost and lonely and hurting people can come to find acceptance without judgement, caring hearts and helping hands, answers to their questions, and healing for the wounds life has inflicted upon them.

Organized in 1894 as Silver Creek Reformed Church, we began with 18 members and a vision for serving the Lord right here in the Central Minnesota area. Today, we have over 120 members in our church, with new faces in our midst almost every week. Our first church and parsonage were built in 1904, and were located out on State Highway 8. In 1964 the present church and parsonage were built in the Quiet Hamlet of Silver Creek. On January 1, 2000, we changed our name to Silver Creek Community Church to better reflect our renewed commitment to becoming a beacon of God's grace, hope, and love for our community and for the entire Central Minnesota area!

We are proud to be a ministry of the Reformed Church in America - the oldest Protestant denomination in North America with a history of continuous service, with over 300,000 members and 950 churches coast-to-coast and in Canada. The roots of the Reformed Church in America go back to the Netherlands, with our history in North America beginning in 1628, when the first wave of Dutch immigrants settled in New Amsterdam (New York). The RCA is Presbyterian in governmental structure, Calvinistic in theology, Evangelical, and Ecumenical.

Saved by God's Grace, we live for God's Glory!
